Took bus with Renfred to sch today! haaa.. not going to sound like some lil giggly gals who drool at their idol etc.. after all he is only 1 year older than my bro..haa.. but its not everyday that u get to see some one who was famous.. think he lives around my area..serangoon gardens maybe.. cos he was also going to school.. Ngee Ann Poly..

was standing at the bus stop when i thot i saw someone familiar walking in my direction.. and yes, its him.. dressed in normal t-shirt and jeans and carrying a puma bag.. looking like any ordinary poly kid.. but well.. images of him on stage singing flashed thru my mind.. then he sat down..infront of me at the bus stop.. technically speaking i was the closest to him as compared to anyone at the bus stop..

ok, then was simply wondering where he was going etc..haaa. super kaypoh.. should go be a paparazzi! :P anyway the bus came and we boarded the same bus.. i sat down first then he sat beside me..i mean this is the closest encounter with someone who was/is famous (at least to the school kids).. :) i seriously he is too tall, same case for many guys taking buses.. he couldnt sit into the seat without his legs being in an uncomfortable position..so he wasnt seat shoulder to shoulder beside me.. but as the bus gets crowded, he slowly eased his way 'into' the seat.. so he was like atmost 5cm away from me..haaa.. *gosh this is sounding psycho* but no! am just trying relate the situation.. (think i am a very bad story teller.. *bleah* )

while he was sitting there, was trying to think how he feels on the bus.. is he worried that ppl will notice him? will be feel awkward with all the stares?or does he enjoy every moment of the glances ppl steal? i definitely deprived him of that if thats what he seeks..haaa..am so evil.. just pretended not to recognise him..but well who noes he mite be grateful for me treating him as per normal? :) i duno.. *shrug*

was also wondering how much is he earning..is he still having any 'work' other than being a student, did a poster for bus stops on some drinks, tv serial if i am not wrong..but no news of his music records (if any). hmm..if yes does he work on those after his sch hours etc..is he popular in sch? does his new frens befriend him becos he is someone more famous than the ordinary? if he didnt join campus superstar, will he be happier and not having to think of how true his 'new' frens are... hmm.. or mayb he just doesnt think that much..all these thots just entertained me throughout my bus ride..without a need to take out my lil ipod nano.. haaa..

think i will die thinking if i am a star..haaa.. (am so glad)

but seriously he is handsome, cute for his age.. if i were 10 years younger, i would have blushed my way to school..or mayb my heart would have jumped out during the journey..
BUT
i am freaking old! one who has constant backaches! grrrr...

how do i know i am old?i know when little cute boys in their teens lose their appeal TOTALLY~ :P

it has been a while since i last updated.. well.. was busy playing facebook!haa~ was super addicted at some point in time..wasnt even able to do much work without my itchy fingers typing facebook in the IE..but well..i'm out of the addiction! just slowly decrease my time spent on it and Ta-dah! i'm free! :P think i m either one who is easily bored or am just moving on too fast..haa...

after my craze on facebook, Prince Tutu told me abt the Tokyo trip! yes! Princess Ejiko is GOING TO TOKYO! :) a journey back to my roots..:P was spending so much time planning for it,searching for hotels, searching for travel info etc.. i was obsessed...literally.. :( haa.. no choice but to admit that.. :( hee... well.. am so looking forward to the trip! booked a free plan tour to kyoto for 2 days one nite.. and will be spending like 7 nites in tokyo!of cos there are conferences to attend BUT oh well... :P that doesnt need much planning rite? :P
have also booked a ryokan..jap style hotel where we sleep on tatami!hee.. one nite is fine but i guess more nights on the tatami will render my back wasted..:( have been having alot of backaches recently..must be my dented mattress..duno wat to do.. :(

of cos before i leave, i have to finish tonnes of work.. and i really mean tonnes..here how the list goes:

1. grow out my fibroblasts
2. do cytotoxicity test on my samples
3. analyse data
4. do data processing for my elution data (have been working on that for at least 12 hours and there is simply too much data..even excel cant handle..keeps giving me error when i plot the graph.. :( duno why..*sob* seriously dun think excel is that lousy cos its abt 500+data points?)
5. finish the deliverable report! (this is the one which makes me sweat.. usually its abt 40pgs long..but well hope to able to keep to my usual record time and finish in a wks time?if not i'll be writing in japan! WTH..... :( )

motivation is all i need.. to finish up all these mundane and crap work.. *sigh* running low on that.. Prince Tutu is also quite stressed with his work.. jia you orh! :)

The Sylvanian Lamb Family

Prince Tutu made me a wooden gothic doll house to store the family..so we went to buy the occupants! bought the lambie family..consisting of Papa Lamb ( Ewan Dale), cooking in their lil hambuger caravan stall...Prince Didi bought me a Hamburger Caravan Shop for my birthday which adds on to the collection! love it to bitsssss.... Now papa lambie and mama lambie tends the shop and its their lil shop (not so little)~~~

unknown areas of Singapore

Do you know that Singapore has another mini zoo other than the Singapore zoological garden? yes, went to the Animal Resort at Seletar Farmway..its so cute! there are quite a number of animals there, goats, chickens, parrots, other birds, dogs, peacocks, rabbits, hammies (hamsters), even iguana and weird looking ones too..hee.. don't know their names..

Lawry's Prime Ribs

went to Lawry's Prime Ribs for lunch few weekends back~ *love* the place really makes one feel like royalty.. the service, the ambience, the deco..awww.. THE place for Princesse..hee.. :P

had buffet there.. but as for the food....urm.. standard was only ok.. i think i had nicer food..it wasn't exceptionally nice in my opinion.. just average.. as for the price, was surprised that its quite cheap! the buffet was only 37+++ if i m not wrong..and there was a $50 rebate..then they gave $50 dining vouchers for the next visit for using UOB platinum card and 20% rebate of the current spending stored in their e-card to be used as cash at the next visit for using Masters Card. so i had a total of $74 dollars to be utilised at the next visit! *shocked*

and here's their weirdly dressed waitress doing up their 'famous' spinning bowl salad and daddy digging into his oyster~

Movie #1:

it was so raved about.. expected so much.. but it failed to win my tears even though i was a cry-baby. Yes, the storyline is touching but, somehow, the emotions were not fully expressed..prepared quite a bit of tissue but was disappointed.

However, was impressed with the costumes..stunner! out-of-the-world i would say..but its definitely not easy on the tailors! KUDOS~

Movie #2:

Ball of Fury

people who wants to destress, laugh their heads off (cos they can definitely live without their heads watching the show) should go watch this show on the little white balls. Not much emotional thingy,but be prepared to be amused with their creativity at creating 'laughing points'. its a show that makes u think PINGPONG is a joke. :S

Movie #3:

Lust, Caution

favourite show amongst the 3.. wonderful cinematography i must say. just love the way Ang Lee portrays an emotion. slick~ however, am terribly upset with the censorship board..why the heck do they censor 9 mins worth of IMPT screentime? just to let the movie be "enjoyed" by a larger group of audience (ie, those who are <21>

but overall, its such a great show.not the plot cos there is no twist,no nothing but for the cinematography! go catch the (uncensored) movie! :)

Even the packaging is so prettily girly~ the material for the paper bag is very good too!

latest addiction! went to settler's cafe for at least 5 times this month! its totally addictive! love those weird games we played..although it can be abit pricey for 2. the more people you have the cheaper it is! so grab ur frens for a nice cozy outing there!

was looking back at my prev blog.. cleaned out almost everything..also realised that my life in the past seems to be more happening! hmm.. wonder what is happening to me now.. life seems to plateau out and cant be any flatter i guess.. well, if this is good or bad, its up to one to perceive.. mayb i 'm too old for excitements in life..haa...

feels quite good to clean out everything..as though starting on a clean slate.. although things/entries were not exactly physically existing, but just feel like it needs to be cleaned up once in a while.. things that were supposed to be private, are meant to be hidden..haha..sounds like i've got so many secrets...
but no..just feel that now at another stage in life, all will tend to hide things which are of the previous phases. Till one is comfortable enough to share or old enough to reminenscence..

maybe most are bored and nothing better to do.. but i guess some are just out here to share..to record certain events in their lives..to update frens on their daily happenings..

i guess for me its just an avenue to talk about things where maybe no one has the time to sit down and listen..its something like the mediacorp's modtv..talk-to-me-on-demand or listen-to-me-when-u-have-time..
what is the world becoming?even talking and sharing has to be so 'customised' or rather so selfish?*shrug*

Pressing Question

What do you call this little self-adhesive stick-on for hanging of handphone accessory onto handphones without the slot for hanging handphone accessory?

i've bought something like this from taiwan eons ago..it has a spongy 3m-like-double sided tape which on one end sticks to your handphone, the other side is stuck onto a plastic extension with a small metal ring connected. This metal ring is for users to hang the handphone accessory..

i know this question is rather long and confusing..i tried my best..cant seem to find a better way to phrase it.. :(
i cant sleep without the ans! i've done countless searches online but nothing close.. :(

The Research in Me

is it so easy to give up? seriously i think people who are not perservering are definitely not suited to do research. Just when you face many possible errors in your results you would advise to stop the research and adopt a whole new way of doing it all over again, without even trying to solve the problems? what is it with this 'give up halfway' attitude?if that is the attitude one has in life, the person will neva succeed.

To me research is venturing unfamiliar grounds, its all about trail-blazing..it is expected that we do not know how we are going to get to somewhere but we just follow by faith and with perserverance and luck, we get there!even in times when we do not get there, i always believe that we will discover new routes to other places. Even if we get lost, we will leave behind traces such that others do not follow our footsteps. Obstacles are so expected in research and the joy comes from being able to overcome it, and overcome the situation. Don't you think the more obstacles there are throughout the journey, the more we will be able to appreciate the fruit of hard labour?This is my passion for research.

i agree that some people are just lucky. beginner's luck or whatever luck you can call it. some are just able to make discovery by mistake and sheer luck. BUT has anyone thought of the hard work put in behind this whole thing?you may question if there is. but if you think hard enough, the researcher would definitely have worked very hard trying to get to destination A, but through all the failed attempts and wrong routes taken, he discovers a new destination B! yes, he did not put in effort in trying to discover destination B and it was by sheer luck that he did. This is because he was only focusing on destination A. despite discovering B, he still has yet to get the A! it is still a setback in the discovery of A. but like what i mentioned previously, sometimes along the way, we do find new routes to new places, be it through luck or anything out of our control. Finding B is a little side-tracked reward for going on the journey of uncertainty, obstacles and rough terrains.

knowing that i am such a pathetic risk taker, research is probably the most high risk level thing i have ever done in my life.

OPI colour

am finally buying the super covetted OPI nail colours online! have been talking about buying online since donkey years ago and now thanks to Yiming, who 'jio' me for the spree, i'm getting my own 4 bottles of OPI nail polish!! *love*



but here comes the bad part.. having to buy something which u have neva seen before..and having different websites showing different shades of colour when its SUPPOSED to be the same colour, doesnt help at all! wonder if its the setting of my com..but colours look so different!one moment its pink, the next website shows that it has more of a reddish tone! its so hard to decide.. guess it the 'price to pay' for getting reali cheap OPI colours.. sometimes reali wonder if i could live with such uncertainty.. i guess some might find it exciting, thus addicted to shopping online.. but really think Princess is not one person who can take risks.. even in this small, tiny, minute extent.. yes, its cheap for OPI but its still freaking $7-10 a bottle! its kinda ex as compared to lets say sally hansen?haha..and very ex as compared to Face shop, etc.. but well i really don't know how good OPI is.. only my manucurist knows.. cos she paints them on my fingers and toes..the only time i used OPI myself was my friend's bottle which was near to drying up! so noo good experience there..hee.. :P



was surfing cozycot trying to look for more reliable 'real life' photos of the polishes and got super inspired to do nail art..haha.. cos many people upload their 'work of art' to the forum for people to comment..sounds more like waiting for people to praise in my opinion..*sigh* why the need?? *shrug*

anyway, had quite a good weekend.. went for both the fireworks display.. by spain and by china.. boy must i say china's fireworks are good.. better than spain's in my opinion.. cos spain's ending part looks like they are just trying to clear whats left of their fireworks.. and to clear them fast! they simply just shot a messy assortment of fireworks up and don't seem to be caring much for the picture composition when its up in the sky.. the thought that came to my mind was that 'whats a planet-looking-thingy doing together with changing-colour-normal round-display with self-scrambling-red ants-looking fireworks‘? doesnt it occur to them that they don't make sense and definitely don't look nice together? hmmm.. they need to consult the princess's opinion on choreography of fireworks the next time round...

but well, this is not the main point about fireworks.. the main thing why i mention this other than this being my super-no.1-top-favourite is that i got super pissed off by some singaporeans!now now, hear the princess complain... here goes! we reached the place about 30-40 mins before the start and found that the place beside the esplanade was rather crowded.. then we approached a family who were there to ask if we could place our camera stand beside them..obviously not blocking their view..and in fact over the other side of the fence which they were leaning on.. and yes, they agreed..so we were very happy and i was convinced that singaporeans were nice! then when the time comes closer to that of the fireworks display, more and more people came.. then there was this group of friends.. comprising of 2 couples if i am not wrong.. then one of the girl squeezed herself right infront of me.. she is damn tall and she planted herself right infront of me! amazing manners! so i subtly tried to push her out of my space by attempting to adjust the camera stand and stick my butt out at her..i THOUGHT she will realise that she is invading my space and blocking me, so move away and give me a little bit more space.. BUT　ＮＯ！！she gave me an irritated tone as if i was the one invading her space and blocking her! i couldnt take it any longer so i purposely pushed my bag in her direction, try to stand closer to her and poorly attempting to 'chase' her off. Yes, she did move but move in the wrong direction! she moved right infront of the couple standing infront of me and boldly block them right in the face! the couple just stood there stared at each other in disbelief.

i could not take it any longer, thus the words "so inconsiderate" came out of my mouth. The BF heard it. Told her gal and she had no response. So accustomed to this 2 words eh?used ever so frequently on her i would suppose. after which the bf attempted weakly to give me a 'pai seh' smile. but still no response from her. about 10 mins later, she responded! but in a totally unexpected manner! she shouted over the 2 other frens who were standing beside me, and ask why aren't they coming over to her side! *faint* apparently her friends know the situation better.. *jumping mad* comeon, they look like they are only 18-20+ years old as the bf was sporting a super short durian-botak head. just like the recruits! so whats with the younger generations? show some respects to the old ones like me! *grrr* i thought singaporeans are supposed to be educated in Civics and moral education, No?? go back and read your textbooks and remember what your parents have taught you. Yes, Manners is what i am referring to.

i told myself to take 100 mental pictures of her and make sure i can recognise her the next time i ever see her again. And am now super sensitive to the T-shirt with the word 'newbielogy' on it. Was worn by her bf. if i ever see this t-shirt again i will definitely scrutinise the gal with the person dorning the shirt. So if u have the t-shirt, keep it at home. DO NOT EVER wear it unless you want to be glared at. alternatively, u can give it to your enemy! i'm sure u wun mind him undergoing the scrutiny and harsh looks.

公主有了新的最爱！！猜？是tutu王子送给公主的生日礼物！其实力公主的生日还差一个多月。。但市场上可能不再生产这一类的手机了。。（对啦。。是手机！）所以王子就先买了。。

就是它! 其实也说不出为什么这么喜欢它。。就是不停的想着它。。可能是很想拥有一个很好的相机-手机吧。。就不想老是带着相机。。其实我的相机也是迷你型的。。hehe..（好像是在找借口。。）

超喜欢它的vivid mode sms..简直和msn 一莫一样！而且超多animations!拿来拍烟花也没问题！有空时会上载所派到的照片!
