Our 4yrs 2 mths anniversary

It has been a long while since we last had dinner outside on our own.. have always been eating at home due to my spine injury..so for this special day, tutu specially reserved a table at a super authentic jap yakitori at far east plaza!
didnt know that such a place sits quietly at far east plaza since donkey years ago! hidden treasure! the cooks doing the yakitori were japs and they look really pro!
the deco is also super jap! reminds me of japan's izakaya~ *love* thanks tutu for the nice surprise! <3
As for food wise, the yakitori-s were very nicely done.. not the typical blantantly sweet type that we find ever so often.. it taste simply authentic to me!and a super duper must try is the potato maki..which are simply potatoes wrapped in bacon and grilled on stick! sounds simple but the combi is simply heavenly!

another super duper must try is the grilled corn! u can find traces of it at almost all the tables! although it might seem ridiculous to be paying $6 for half a corn, but i swear that its the best corn on earth! the sweetness tunnels all the way to your toes when u sink ur teeth into it! the corn has got grains of different shades of yellow!so preetty~

National Day 09

had a fantastic picnic with tutu at the marina barrage area while waiting for the fireworks.. the crowd there is also very happening! there is a fleet of malay boys on bicycles that had flags.. they even brought a giant flag and flashed it happily at the chinook when it flew past..haha.. the others were also having picnic and brought their portable tvs and radio with loud speakers..so we were not left out of the parade all the while.. :)

Life is fair..nothing will be perfect.. we were all waiting patiently for the fireworks, enjoying our international picnic spread.. but NOOOO!! firework was being 'half-blocked' by the middle building of the casino!! i hate the casino!!!!!! could only see half the fireworks..... *sobs*

i want my fireworks!!! neva missed it since i know how to count! this is the first...so sad... *look down and twirl fingers*
