Hada Labo Tamagohada facial wash

was so surprised to see this facial wash at watsons!! I have been lemming it since i first saw it on jshoppers... but have yet to get down to purchasing it until it was spotted at watsons! it was going for $15.90 at watsons ngee ann city.. apparently watsons brought in the whole entire range, consisting of the whitening range and moisture range. i've  hauled back the entire whitening range 极白  (toner and moisturiser) and the moisturising range's 极润moisturiser from my previous trip back to japan in april..
will be reviewing these after i'm finished with my SK II whitening range.. which will take about another 2-3 months? :S

anyway, this facial wash promises to make your skin as smooth as as a hard boiled eggs' egg white.. thus the name tamagohada (tamago= egg). its quite a strong exfoliating face wash as it contains both AHA and BHA for chemical exfoliation. As most of you know, there are 2 types of exfoliation you can do to your skin. One is by mechanical methods using scrubs with beads that mechanically remove the dead skin cells. Another is by chemicals such as AHA and  BHA. Some of the toners and facial wash (especially whitening range) do contain AHA/BHA but both of them coming together in 1 product is quite rare. People with sensitive skin may not be suitable to use this as AHA and BHA may cause redness of the skin and increased sensitivity. but after using, i find that it does improve the clarity and brightness of the skin! my skin feels smooth and clean though not the squeaky clean type which i dislike. so in this case it does not strip off too much moisture from the skin. This product is also free of frangrances, mineral oil, alcohol (dehydrating for skin), and colorant. It lathers up very nicely and feels quite gentle on my skin. I seriously this is fantastic for guys as they have thicker layer of dead skin on the face, thus using a more potent exfoliating wash makes sense!

From the ingredients list, I've spotted the addition of salicylic acid, which is good for those with acne/problematic skin. Most of the products for such skin type contains a certain amount of salicylic acid to rid pimples.

am definitely keeping this new found baby for days where my skin looks dull and in need of through exfoliation! :)
